| What to look for on an '88 M6 or M5? I've been looking around at M6 and M5's from the late 80s. I love these cars, however I don't want to buy a broken down piece of crap. What are things that commonly go wrong with this vintage's year and model? The M6 is more appealing, but an M5 will do just fine. :P Any links, pointers, or advice are appreciated. Thanks.

| www.m535i.org are usually quite good have a look there, the m5 and the m535i should probably have one or two things in common, e28s have a strong motor, and im sure the old sixes would too, same motor and chassis except a coupe, its really the 5 series coupe i suppose ![]() sparkle
