The Alpine CDA-7894 has a dedicated 4v sub preout. It also has sub level control on the deck. You might have to "turn on" the sub control in the menu. Since you have a sub, you should be running the amp for your mids/highs in hipass. That shouldn't hurt your midbass. If the amp has an adjustable crossover point, try it at 80Hz. Again, since you have a sub, don't use any bass boost on the deck. I don't think the 7894 has a LOUD option, but if it does, turn it off.

As far as crossovers go, they are specifically engineered for the drivers they're mated with. I wouldn't be using Boston crossovers with some other brand of speakers.
