i have chrome 18" AC Schnitzer Type 3's on my Topaz Blue 330ci... they're niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. I've had them on since tuesday(6/11), and i have gotten more complements/looks since i put them on than since i think i got the car... no exaggeration. I think they send the right message for me too... flashy, but not too ricey, classy, and the "dammmmmmmnnnnnnnn" factor, also the bling bling
... i think you should go with 18's and a drop b4 19's they'll get damaged way too easy.
