I used to own CLPW Leather and Leathercraft supplies and dealt with a few car interiors, but my main business was leather. Lexol was the best conditioner that I ever used. To be fair, however, I didn't ever try "Leatherique". Never even heard of it, until I came onto this board.
There was another post, that I saw, which involved someone looking to "bleach" his car seats.
What he needs, is not bleach, but to remove the old finish with a preparer, and put on a new coat of "Nu-Life" spray-on finish. It has both the dye and the sealer in it. If you try to "dye" a car seat, without the sealer, built in, the dye will, at some point, begin to rub off on your clothes.
This occurs, simply because, you wear off the sealer, then have the raw dyed surface rubbing against your clothing. If the sealer is built in, as in NU-LIFE, it bonds each part of the dye-stuff.
