Are you talking about the headunit? Or are you talking about the entire sound system? If you are talking about the head unit I'm not too sure if it would work properly with what you have in your car. Assuming that the inputs on the back of it are the same I would think it would work. IMO I would buy a nice after market headunit with some nice add-on capabilities. If you have a complete 335i system including speakers I would most definitely not waste my time with replacing everything. It would probably end up sounding the same regardless of whether the 335 system is premium or not. Either way I would stick with what you already have because I don't think you would really notice a difference in performance unless you were to add some nice component speakers.
