Are all of your brake lining sensors present? The brake lining light goes away by itself...its not controlled by a computer....so that light being on is just a dummy light....it won't effect driving at all.

The service indicators are resettable with a reset tool...they cost about $50-$100 and they are well worth it. BUT most shops with a reset tool will reset this light for free. The service indicator is also a dummy light. The computer doesn't 'detune' your car if those lights are on. You most likely have another issue causing bad performance. Those red/yellow/green lights are just to remind you to get your oil changed and do basic services.

PS-if your brake pedal feels soft, you may need a master cylinder. Everyone is going to call me nuts, because masters rarely break, but it IS a possibility.
