no, thats a perfectly logical reply from them. There are a whole bunch of things in the transmission that can cause a fault, but are effected by things like heat, load, etc.

Seriously, why do you keep going back to bmw when you keep saying in here you think they are full of shit?

If you want to do something about it, take it to a transmission specialist like i told you, or just sit there and hope its ok only to leave you stuck on the side of the road one day. Your choice.
