| okay I found the problem, the fuse block on the power cable in the engine bay had become faulty....
fuse was fine, the block itself was preventing power flow (gonna open it an look to see what happened)
to fix, we cut the block out, got some connectors on the cable and put the fuse in.
its all working again :-)
