I'm not sure about BMW's. I didn't have my eclipse tuned at all and it still had the 20g, fmic, and injectors for about a year. It's definitly not good for the engine, no matter what boost you're running, but I don't know how bad it actually is. I would assume on a more high-strung motor like a bimmer's motor it would be worse though. Although the smaller the displacement of the motor, most likely it isn't as bad on it...
