| i love this site you guys are actuallly helpful i do like the upgrade piece by piece idea it was in my head any ways but if it even comes down to it i could always fix welds my self but would not want to end up letting it happen to often before replacement provided my money is right but i still wonder if i only ran between 6 to 8 pounds would it still be necessary to retard the timing or make ecu adjustment or could i pretty much be safe with possibly better injectors and a few small tweaks i have turboed a few cars before without need of timing adjustment (87 iroc with tpi and 86 pontiac fiero gt that one blew up quick we knew that was coming at 190k on the odo though but it was fun for a weekend) but they were just experiments to see if i could do it or not but i have not boosted a 2.7 yet so im a little in the dark i also did my friends daily driven civic with no timing adjustments he runs 7 psi it holds up every day we installed aem adj cam gears and retard 1 degree at the track and turn the boost to 11 psi still only good for 14.6 at best (him driving not me) so like i said 8 pounds max on my 2.7 do i have to mess with the timing before i get ready to dive into this next project thanks guys  |
