1) how much $$$$$
2) how many hp + tq are you looking for
3) M20B25 with TURBO is a good solutions and in Scandinavia they are doing miracles
4)M20B25 is cheap very easy to repair and so on
5) M50 is a VERY good engine better fuel consuption than M20 and also have
big potential for turbo
6) M30 is not as god as many says ((very reliable,, good tq.)) but is so much heavier than M20 and just + 200hp
7) The best choice if you want a engine from a M///-car is EURO S50 3.0 or 3.2 very reliable and strong + lots of power good fuel cons, easy to install ((but heavy))
I have i S38B38 in my car ((not available oem in USA)) the biggest of all 6 cyl M engines 340 hp 295 lbs.tq and the most powerful ((mine was dynoed 343 hp before taking out of a M5 touring 92))
this was not a easy install and this baby use FUEL like a 70 MUSCLECAR if the throttle is in proper use
