| Just reread you post & I am afraid that you did the money shift. Did the tires chirp & the car jerk when you down shifted? Was the motor making a TACKING noise, not a ticking noise? The cylinder head should be ok. But you gotta pull it off & fix it. It's about 12hr labor, + parts & machine shop. Your not the first, nor the last. Drive any car long enough & hard enough & it will happen. It's just a question of weather or not the flywheel bolts give or the motor over revs.
