Ok, listen I have been managing a small BMW repair shop for the last 10 years. The only way you bend exhaust valves is the MONEY SHIFT!! Got fourth gear beating against the rev limiter go for 5th, but get 3rd. I have clients that track e36 s52 year after year. Any motor will wear out eventually, but your s52 should be good for longer than 99k. MY 98 did not want to run to save it life this morning & ran on 5 the hole way to work... Replace the ignition coil($78.00) & spark plug connector($13.00). Fixed! If I did not have a front strut brace could have fixed it in under 10 min! Never seen an injector go bad yet on one of these engines, their is a first for every thing. Run a good heavy syn oil 20w50 red lion or 15w50 mobil one, change it every 3k or after each DE. DON'T OVERHEAT the engine & you will be just fine. Not saying you mechanics wrong, but my question would be. How do I bend just one exhaust valve??? Connection rod break??? Let me know & good luck!
