| The E36 M3 weighed approximately 3200 lbs with fluids and no driver. It should be considerably faster though as E36 M3s (US models) put down approximately 220 whp while the 335s have put down 270.
Crusher is right. With 4-5k worth of modifications, it will be a very fast car.
Diesels are widely available, just not in the US.
