Why do people ask for help if they don't want help?

Alright; look dipstick... I say subframe; you say diff holder... Lets be clear: We are talking about the REAR AXLE CARRIER... That's different. So is the FINAL DRIVE COVER.... You'll probably call that the diff cover... The input and output flanges are different too... Which means the OUTPUT SHAFTS ... or as I like to say "drive shafts" are different too... You've got LK=80MM/D=26MM you'll need LK=94MM/D=38MM drive shafts... So are the sizes of the bolts and those reinforcement shims... You've got M8X40 ZNS3 and D=8MM ZNS3 respectively; you'll need M10X46 and D=10MM/ZN respectively... Trailing arms are different too... Which means hey - the DRIVE FLANGE HUB and WHEEL BEARINGS - those are probably different too...

About the only thing that could carry over is the upper and lower wishbones; shocks and springs. Basically you are replacing the entire rear end... Like I said in the first place.

Edit: Mind you - I haven't done this swap myself; but I've researched it a bit... So YMMV. The better plan for me is to find one of those hard to find 3.45 LSD's that will plug right in - and not worry about the rest of this stuff... I guess there is a small LSD from some older automatic 5 series; that is also fragile (up to ~200hp ok)... that is close enough in size and gearing to bolt in with out any drama; once you swap the input flange... but I haven't found one of those either.
