A buddy of mine had an M3 in the same situation. Dove grey vaders that looked like someone would touch after reading the newspaper every day. Parts of it were almost black, and the creases in the leather were black. After application of Leatherique Prestine Clean (yes, that's how the spell it) and a little work with a soft toothbrush in the creases, the leather was back to dove grey. And the rejuvenator oil is the best thing I've found to condition the leather. Just slather it on, close the doors and windows, let it bake in the sun for an hour or more, then wipe off the excess.
