Yeah, I would have to say that this equation is only useful when comparing vehicles that are very similar in nature. They should have similar handling characteristics and ride quality since those arn't in the equation at all. This equation does not provide any meaningful information when comparing vehicles that are from totally different price brackets or niches. But very entertaining to find the SpD of a Geo Metro:

(90hp)(10^9)/(1750lb)($6000) = 8571 SpD Using this crazy number will provide meaningful information when compared to other economy cars though. It pretty much ownz them all. So a Geo Metro is a better buy than a yaris, prius, civic, focus etc.. IF those cars have similar handling, ride quality and looks. If you think the Geo is butt ugly there is unfortunately no equation for that.
