| Food for thought...
Speaking as a previous owner of an e30 M3, e36 325is, e36 M3 and current owner of an e90 325i i have to say that the new 3 did take a while to grow on me (approx. 1 year).
I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but does anyone remember how they felt when the Jetta 3 was introduced? I for one was disgusted! I thought, how could VW lose those cool sharp lines? But you know what...a year later I grew to really appreciate the direction that VW was going.
I definitely appreciate the design approach of all the new BMW's. I think it is sheer genius to design a car that people hate at first and then grow to love. What's up with that? IMO the only true hiccup in the last few year's was Bangle's 7 series, which thankfully has been toned down. |
