the HVAC is a common problem/easy fix. use a DIY or there is a guy who advertises in roundel who will fix it for 50 bucks.
the Key problem could be a potentially easy fix.. do a search on the internet, this and other forums.. there is often a way to easily fix that tumbler. replacing the cylinder and thus the key can be a pain.
for the CEL.. what are the codes you are getting?
