Festivals in a Touring

Hot on the heels of a record year for BMW 3 Series Touring sales, BMW UK has launched ‘Touring Festivals’ - a guide to the UK and Europe’s most evocative and challenging cultural and sporting festivals, compiled, appropriately, behind the wheels of BMW’s Touring models.

During 2006, a number of the UK’s leading travel journalists drove to twelve festivals and events across the continent to experience the diverse themes and spectaculars that the UK and Europe has to offer. The guide will be cover-mounted on the February issue of Conde Nast Traveller and is complemented by a website - www.touringfestivals.co.uk Much of the content will then be used on The Times newspaper’s new travel website, ‘Your World’ - http://travel.timesonline.co.uk, designed to give travelers across the globe an opportunity to upload experiences and images of their travels alongside those of the Festival writers. The festivals have also inspired a collection of Classic FM podcasts, accessible from www.classicfm.com.

BMW UK’s Advertising Manager, Suzanne Gray, said “Buyers of BMW’s Touring models lead an active lifestyle and their car offers them the flexibility and space to travel while, crucially, still delivering a great drive. The Touring Festivals guide introduces a fascinating insight into some already well known events, while highlighting some of the more unusual festivals in Europe. But they are all in easy reach at the wheel of a BMW Touring”.
