A Loss of weight in the rear would account for less traction. Just think of Pickup trucks in the snow. Because in the rear they have no weight they just slide everwhere. Also I suggest not putting any tire shine on tires before getting on a track haha. Although after a few laps the tire shine wouldn't make a difference if you were sliding, because it would have been rubbed off. Have you messed with the camber on the rear, if you have it adjustable you could give yourself some negative camber to make sure the tires stick on turns. Either negative camber or positive I forgot. Also you could help the problem if you equally lightened up the front, or just put the weight back in the rear.
