Pushrod or not LS series are some of the best motors. You cant just compare displacement and HP like a ricer. HP/Displacement is nothing more than braging rights and means little in the real world. You also can not compare engine by a picture, there both covered up with nice shiny plastics in the engine bay.

Compare HP, TQ, weight, powerband, fuel economy and most importantly in this equation price. Because what good is a motor if 98% of us will never experince its power first hand.

Read up on LS series of engines, they have reasons for designing it the way it is, and have done a stunning job at it. It not the same as a BMW motor I'll give ya that, everything about is more industrial, however it gets the job done just the same for much less money with room to upgrade to over 1000hp.

Also equal mods is another ricer logic statement. "if I had the same number of cyl. bla, bla, bla." all talk.
