If you are talking about the 12 volt electronic air compressor that you hook up to your intake, then no it won't be effective. As an example, (taken from the thread below) an 03 svt cobra supercharger takes 60 hp to make 10 psi. The compressed air gives the engine more power, but it still takes 60 hp to compress the air. There is no way this 12 volt fan is 60 hp, or even 30 for that manner.

60 horsepower is 44,742 watts, which is 3728.5 amps at 12 volts. I don't know what the amp rating is on BMW alternators, but a dodge diesel 3500 pickup (big ass truck) only has a 160 amp alternator.

Basically, these kits blow air into your intake, but they blow less air into your intake than your car normally uses, so you end up restricting your intake and losing power.

IMO=in my opinion
