| There are 3 types of 2.5 engines on the E34, the first was the 170hp /5800rpm (1988-1990) it was 6/OHC ; the second 192hp /6000rpm (1989-1992) it was 6DOHC and the third 192hp /5900rpm (1992-1996) also a 24v DOHC like the second but with variable valve timing i think it`s the only difference between them,and probably also the Vanos.
