All U.S. spec M3's sound "tinny", according from everyone who has posted about this. It's because the cats are located in the headers and not down under the car.

www.uucmotorwerks.com and their RaspX exhaust system, or try to locate a euro exhaust system to get rid of the "tinny" sound.
