It can be a potential danger. Padding MAY help, but highly doubtful.

Jed's correct...it is absolutely dangerous to put a cage in a street car...roll bar is fine but any bars from the main hoop down to the a-pillars can be deadly in an accident if your not wearing the proper safety gear, harnesses, helmet etc...
