Mainly because of the tough U.S. automobile safety standards and regulations (carbon fiber roof, etc.) Besides, production of the CSL has already ceased. The closest thing to the CSL available to North America will be the 2005 E46 M3 with the ZCS (Club Sport Package) -which, IMO is still a far cry.
