E39 (E46?) No Clutch Stop for YOU!!!

I spent a couple of hours today making an RS clutch stop for my wife's E30 325is, and my friends E36 M3...I figured while I was at it I would make an extra one for my '01 525i loaner special. I'll be going on two weeks w/ out my M so I might as well make myself comfortable right???
So, I get down and screw out the old clutch stop...It wasn't even screwed in..No it was placed in the hole, and hammered in, the threads were all destroyed..Nice..
Get my custom clutch stop in and adjust it to where I thought the clutch engaged...Go to start the engine...Nothing...So I adjust it in even further..Still nothing..Some more...Still nothing...Finally I take the stop totally out to find where the starter activater switch was..Oh yeah...1/2 an inch off of the floor...I'll be damned if BMW didn't design after market clutch stops right out of the picture. No joke, there is like 6 inches of play that needs to be taken out of the clutch, but without messing with that switch...No love.
I don't know if this is the case w/ the E46s, but it sure was w/ this E39...damn.
