| Question : In this article, if I understand right, Clarkson says that the 135i has sequentials turbos, but in the article about the 335i, he says that there is one turbo for each row of cylindres (non-sequential). Is it right or is there a mistake ? I thought it was exactly the same engine ? Text about the 135i: "But it’s the engine that impresses most of all. It has one small turbo to spin up the instant you apply the power, and then a bigger one that trundles into life later to keep the power coming . . . in bigger and bigger lumps." Jeremy Clarkson BMW 135i review | Driving - Times Online Text about the 335i: "What you get instead is a 3 litre straight six, which is force-fed its diet of air by two small turbochargers. On paper this sounds fine. Because they’re small, they don’t take an age to reach operating speed, which means there’s no turbo lag. But because each one is feeding only three cylinders, you still have loads of power and loads of torque." Jeremy Clarkson BMW 335i SE Coupé review | Driving - Times Online |

| I may agree to some extent. The new 135/335 is honestly one of the best cars BMW has thrown out in a while. I put my money of the fact this car will have crazy power potential. For the price, performance, and handling from the car, it is honestly a performance bargain for a nice euro car. The 135 is a nice peice of engineering. Smaller car, lots of power, and lots of room for some upgrades. Its almost like a E36 all over again. ![]()
