| The E36 M3 weighed approximately 3200 lbs with fluids and no driver. It should be considerably faster though as E36 M3s (US models) put down approximately 220 whp while the 335s have put down 270. Crusher is right. With 4-5k worth of modifications, it will be a very fast car. Diesels are widely available, just not in the US.

| My mum drives the 120d here in Australia but i am thinking about my next car in 4 years time when i am tired of my Mazda, and i was thinking of the 120d in the coupe. Should have searched the web before asking. It seems Australia will miss out on the diesel. The 120d is a good little car, great performance to match the fuel efficiency. This is a rather good write up from an Australian site, mainly focusing on the 135i, but also briefly going over the other engines in the range.
