It's OFFICIAL!!............unofficially

I am honored to say that I was privy to being one of the very first of the US public eye to see a 135i Coupe in person WITHOUT CAMOFLAGE. And it looks amazing!

Additionally, the 135i Coupe is a GO for the US market. Launch is Spring of 2008.

Looks like the fact that the US is the LARGEST consumer of BMWs in the world is finally allowing us to have some of the good stuff:

- N54 engine is standard. No official word on power ratings will be but it looks like it's leaning towards being detuned slightly. (nothing a little piggyback action can't take care of )

- M-sport kit comes STANDARD. The front bumper is VERY reminiscent of the E46 M3. Sideskirts are aggressive and accentuates the flared fenders. Trunklid has an integrated lip spoiler.

And the biggie...

- 6-piston BREMBO front brakes STANDARD.

Price will range from $30-35k depending on options.

Bye-bye E46 M3, hello 135i!!!

Even though these are still somewhat camoflaged, CAR magazine has currently THE best photos of what the upcoming 135i coupe will look like for the US.
